Delete Your Account

This page explains how to permanently delete your Bad Habits account and all associated data.

How to Delete In the App

The easiest way to delete your account is directly from within the Bad Habits app. Follow these steps:

  1. Open the Bad Habits app on your device
  2. Tap the Profile tab (bottom navigation bar)
  3. Tap Settings (gear icon in the top right)
  4. Scroll down and tap Delete Account
  5. Read the confirmation message and tap Confirm Delete

This action is permanent and cannot be undone. Once you confirm deletion, your account and all associated data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days.

What Gets Deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

  • Your account profile (email address, display name, avatar)
  • All check-in history and spending data
  • All accountability circle memberships and activity
  • Your achievement progress and unlocked achievements
  • Your coin balance and any earned rewards
  • Your streak history
  • All duel records involving your account
  • Push notification tokens associated with your devices

Deletion Timeline

After you confirm account deletion:

  • Immediate: You are logged out and cannot access the app
  • Within 30 days: All personal data is permanently deleted or anonymized from our systems and backups

Export Your Data First

Before deleting your account, you can download a copy of your check-in history as a CSV file. To export your data:

  1. Open the Bad Habits app
  2. Tap the Profile tab
  3. Tap Export Data
  4. Choose your date range and tap Export CSV

Alternative: Request by Email

If you cannot access the app (e.g., you've lost your device or forgotten your password), you can request account deletion by email:

Send an email to alex@jbagency.ro with:
Subject: Account Deletion Request
Include: The email address associated with your account

We will process your request within 30 days and send a confirmation when complete.

Important: Active Subscriptions

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. If you have an active subscription, you must cancel it separately through your device's subscription settings before or after deleting your account β€” otherwise you may continue to be billed.

To cancel your subscription:

  • Android (Google Play): Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → Bad Habits → Cancel
  • iOS (App Store): Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Bad Habits → Cancel
